6 hour layover @ JFK airport.

Carly missed her connecting flight but was able to get standby on our plane. Phew! When we got to the London Center (after an exciting escapade on the Tube) we were immediately sent out to get aquainted with our "neighborhood" which just so happens to be right next to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. After so many hours on a plane it was so nice to walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

This is the Peter Pan Monument in Kensington Park. It reminds me of the Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park (NY).
This is on one of the main streets by our flat. Its full of little shops and restaurants from all cultures. The people walking up and down are just as diverse. This is a curry restaurant I want to try. Who does it remind you of, eh roommates? (the correct answer is Andrea!)

Well, that's all for tonight. It's been an exciting adventure thus far and I have some great ideas of what I want to do for the next 2 months. Hope all is well, my wonderful family!
